MCR42 is a camera receiver designed for best-in-class performances. Four receivers are internally coupled by two in a real TRUE DIVERSITY CONFIGURATION. Its front end has a chain of microcontrolled-driven movable filters to allow BROADBAND OPERATION up to 240 MHz with great selectivity.
A powerful low consuption DSP gives you the best of analogue and digital technologies in an hybrid approach for smooth operations, high coverage and with our patented PTT (push to talk) already integrated.

Variant:
MCR41 is the version with only one diversity RX board mounted. It supports all features of MCR42 and is compatible with MCR42 Firmware. It is also possible to mount the second Rx board to upgrade a MCR41 to an MCR42.

FEATURES

  • Dual true diversity in a modular stand-alone or slot-in format.
  • Switching bandwidth up 240 MHz in the UHF range.
  • DSP based audio processing for unbeatable audio and digital outputs with our PTT (push to talk) patented technology already integrated.
  • 40 groups of 60 frequencies fully user programmable.
  • Multicompander operations
  • Infrared interface for programming and transmitter synchronization
  • Wisycom exclusive digital sub-carrier telemetry technology allows:
    – remote TX battery monitoring
    – tone-squelch operating
    – PTT function (An optional back-panel module is available, with the secondary intercom output)

bug fix:

  • Occasionally, while working in ENS, audio output level was low
  • Minor bug fix
Firmware

Version:  v3.26

MCR42

  • Added ENS compander
  • Added MTP60 compatibility (SYNC and 16 bit battery data)
  • Fixed minor bug fix
Firmware

Version:  v3.24

Date:  2019-02-14

MCR42

  • added support for new bands: Band 8 (B8: 940-960MHz) and Band P (BP:806-810MHz)
  • modified SYNC process for compatibility with Narrow band Transmitters
  • added Tone Squelch delay setting: configurable delay for the activation of the audio when the tone squelch is detected
  • added new panel lock mode (“ENC *”) which, when activated, loads all parameter values to default, except for:
      • Compander: ENC
      • Analog LINE level: + 12dBu

In ENC lock mode * all panel parameters are locked except for:  Change group / channel / frequency, Audio levels settings

MCR41-MCR42

  • added: MCR42-S3 Version Management *
  • added: lock panel parameter in the preset
  • added: displaying the last loaded preset to the preset pages
  • fixed: wrong level battery indication on 688/Manager with SEN compander
  • fixed: wrong LINE level after the change from analog to digital
  • fixed: wrong Compander selection after the factory preset
  • fixed: wrong display group/channel after the factory preset when one receiver is OFF
  • fixed: wrong COM level after restoring
  • fixed: wrong indication of Change Group/Channel after saving of presets
  • fixed: deviation bar management issue when the calibration tone is activated

*NOTE: MCR42-S3 version is the latest hardware version of MCR42.

It increases the max analogue audio level to +18dBu for LINE and COM outputs (on the previous version the max level was +12dBu)

It allows the selection by software of the type of outputs on the Top Feed and Base. Based on the “Line Mode” choose, different output options are available:

– if LINE mode is set on Analog, you can choose between Line-A (Analog) and COM on both Top Feed and Base (socket)

– If LINE mode is set on AES3 (digital), you can choose between Line-D (digital) and COM on both Top Feed and Base (socket)

MCR41-MCR42

fixed: display of the audio bar level after calibration tone – even if the calibration tone is stopped, the audio bar level shows the output level of the previous calibration tone.

Steps to replicate the issue:

– Enter into the circular menu and go to the audio information.
– Start calibration tone on RX1
– Do nothing, just wait until the receiver jumps back to the status screen.
– When jumping back to the status screen the calibration tone stops which is correct but the audio bar in the status screen still shows for RX1 the output level of the calibration tone
This problem happens only with RX1, not happens with RX2.

fixed: problem to save the compander in the memory during loading of the preset.

new – management of Preset menu:
The first 3 preset can only be modified by PC (default name PRESET_x). The following two are editable by the receiver as well (default name USER_x)
Menu option for the Preset changed from “Restore” into “Load” and now it’s the first option available on the main menu.

new – ask for a factoory restore settings when recognized a different slot-in:
during the power on of the receiver, in case it recognizes an slot-in different from what was previously installed, the unit asks if you want to do a factory restore settings.
